I recently had the opportunity to serve as a guest lecturer at Seton Hall University School of Law, where I was invited to return and speak with Property students about real estate practice and the role of attorneys in real estate transactions. The discussion focused on the responsibilities of counsel during residential and commercial closings, common issues that arise during transactions, and the importance of careful contract review and due diligence.
It was a pleasure engaging with the students and answering thoughtful questions regarding the practical aspects of client representation, building a real estate practice, and the day-to-day work involved in transactional matters. The students were highly engaged, and the discussion provided an excellent opportunity to connect academic concepts with real-world legal practice.
I am grateful for the invitation and look forward to future opportunities to speak with students about the practice of real estate law and the evolving role of attorneys in today’s transactional environment.
